Stick it, Tuesday!

Adventures of a Wanna-Be Supah Mommy

I love Supah, she is mahhhvelous!  She is also patient and kind and knows that I pay her homage when I can...

So, let's get it started in here, shall we? First, I'd like to tell stickies something:

They really are...All over my desk, on my cabinets, whereever.  It looks like Kathy Bates' mirror in The Family That Preys...except I don't have early onset Alzheimer's...I FEEL like it, but I don't.

I have had the month from hell and it started like this:  We had a GREAT Easter Sunday.  There was a complete Easter egg hunt FAIL.  Little Man had his basket almost full when it dumped and he didn't notice.  He was swarmed and lost all his eggs.  He didn't cry but when we got home, I noticed the corners of his eyes were moist.  So we spent the afternoon dying eggs and doing our own hunt.  WAIT!  I've already told this story, dammit. See?  I needed a sticky to tell me this...OK, so the following week here's what happened:
I came home to it.  After one of the worst days at work ever PLUS it was the day before Little Man's 7th birthday party and I couldn't find what I needed for his cake. I ALWAYS bake and decorate the boy's birthday cakes. Add to that the fact that my Aunt Flow came to town that morning...I laid on my bed and cried hysterically for a half hour then got up and started cleaning.

I wanted to kill the dog.  Seriously.  I thought he was just ill then I noticed the Easter basket on the floor....

So, after that the month continued on .  We have a ton of events coming up.  Big ones like Rolling Thunder, Marine Corps Marathon, things like that.  We also have a huge motorcycle safety event complete with movie stars from Hollywood (no, I can't tell you who yet because we haven't advertised the guests).  I will tell you that the Grill Sergeant will be here.  This was my first BIG event.  However, it was started before I took the job so there was some lost information.   That came back to me.  Yesterday. About four hours after having another HUGE project launched and being publicly acknowledged by my BIG bosses in front of the cameras and everything. You see, when you are planning an event that is going to involve a couple thousand people, you need to pay attention when they request more room before you sign off on the event and they go through the entire planning process over three months.  I get to find out this morning if the event is even going to go now--OH, and it's NEXT WEEK...My manager just came in.  He's not smiling nor talking to me...This is NOT a good sign.
And to top it off, I had splurged at Whole Foods and bought a tasty treat FOR THE FAMILY....Here's how THAT went...
So there it is, folks!  My month in a nutshell.
*sigh....FML
Wait, one more thing before I forget (fucking Alzheimer's)

Have fun and visit Supah above for more Stick It, Tuesdays!!

Sage,

Yup. Two days. Straight. I'm just thankful is wasn't my 120 pound Shepherd..

Famof4: Yeah, I know...But a goyl can dream, can't she?

Stacey: I still can't bring myself to laugh. I brought that fucking area rug (10x14) all the way from Khorat Thailand. He's just a lucky dog...

We finally took all the carpeting out of our house and just tiled. We have one rug in the family room. My dogs will hold the vomit and run clear across the house to puke on that one rug. Amazing control!

Isn't that the truth with the dog?? My cat can be on the tile and she'll run to the carpet to vomit!! Sigh

I hate when that shit happens (pun fully intended) with dogs. I'm glad Bissell could help get the smelly chocolate stains out...
